Flickr

I decided to jump on the Flickr bandwagon. I know, I know, such a visionary, adopting a new technology this early in the process, but hey, that' how I roll, bleeding edge baby!

I got the opportunity to go to Sierra Leone, West Africa earlier this year on a missional adventure for Church and it was life changing! I've uploaded a bunch of the images I took to Flickr, go take a look!

Ugh, tire-ed.

Man, the alarm went of early today!  I'm in Austin for some training for my day job (IBM Solutions Architect) and I hit the treadmill a few minutes after 6a.  After my early shoot yesterday with a 4:30a wake-up, getting out of bed today was tough!

The good news is, I got out of bed!  Sometimes its hard, today was no exception, but you just gotta do it if you want to get in shape.  I've let myself get overweight and I have to do something about it.  I want to be around for both my daughters everything: wedding, prom, when they move out at 30, that kind of stuff.  So, I did it, another day in the bag.  I'll go for a walk outside tonight, because I hate the treadmill, so boring.  Cardio 2 times a day does a skinny dad make!

Ann & Jason

I was an early morning, with a 6:30 start, but the light was soooooo pretty!

Ann & Jason are getting married on the 23rd and we wanted to get an image to use for the wedding and reception entrance, so we got together a couple of times to see what we could come up with.

Talk about a fun couple!  They are happy, easy going and easy on the eyes, so photographing them is a joy.

Here are some images from our shoots: http://www.findthemoment.com/#/cl1-home-2/

More Karen!

We spent an AWESOME day with Karen yesterday.  She was so amazing, literally willing to do any wacky idea we could come up with.

"Hey Karen, hop on the Harley with my Uncle Rick!" "OK!!"

"Hey Karen, lie down in the groady lake!" "OK!!"

The pictures turned out amazing, thanks in no small part to Karen's willingness and the fact that she is stunning!

Thanks Karen!

Karen

What a great day of shooting so far!  Karen came down from the land of the Eagles and even though the Cowboys are far supreme, she's still pretty dang cool.  Beyond that, she is GORGEOUS!  My good friend Leslie Spurlock shot her wedding back in May and they became fast friends.  As a result, Karen agreed to come down for a trash the dress session!

We spent some time at the grain mill in Prosper this morning then headed down to Strokers.  Bikers are great!  We took some shots around the place and then stuck her on a motorcycle with my uncle Rick.  It was hilarious!!!  I think we made my uncle Rick's month!

As soon as we get back into some good light, we are going to head out again and really trash things up, there is a lake in our future and maybe even my swimming pool.  Stay tuned.

Some texture fun

I've recently begun playing with texturizing my photographs.  FUN.

Jesh De Rox is an amazing photographer who really pioneered texturizing in my opinion.  I picked up his Fine Art Textures and have been really enjoying them!

Now, I understand that textures aren't for everyone, but hey, I'm diggin'em right now.

Free to Succeed!

Wow!  What a great night of learning, fellowship and fun!

I got the chance to go to the Free to Succeed seminar with David Jay and Jasmine Star last night, they flat rock!  Such a dynamic pair that really knows what they are talking about.  We learned about everything from workflow to building the business to the importance of branding.  3 things I clearly need to improve upon, so it was a fortuitous event.

It turned into a late night, but I was so amped I setup this new blog and began the redesign of my website ( Find the Moment ) using Showit Sites.  Amazing program that really makes it easy to OWN your web presence.  I'm hooked and having a great time with the rebuild.  Its nice to get my hands dirty from time to time and make something that I can enjoy.  Few kinks to work out and I still need to finalize my overall design, but its coming along!!!
